Rewio Terms of Use

In short

This summary highlights key terms. Please read it together with the full Terms below; it does not limit your mandatory consumer rights.

• Rewio is for people 18 or older who are allowed to share their internet connection.
• While internet sharing is on, business clients send web requests through your internet connection. The websites they open see your IP address.
• You get rewards only in the games you link. Rewio never pays cash.
• Internet sharing uses your internet traffic and battery. You pay for your own internet plan.
• You can stop internet sharing at any time on the main screen or from the notification. You can withdraw consent in Settings. Stopping or withdrawing consent does not cancel rewards you have already earned. Corrections for established fraud are covered by section 7.6.

1. Who we are

Rewio is provided by Clearbridge Technologies Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 17214108, with its registered office at Building Unit 8, Olympic Park, Warrington, Cheshire, WA2 0YL, United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our").

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and us. They govern your participation in the Rewio app ("Rewio") once you accept them as described in section 2.

2. Accepting these Terms

You accept these Terms when you tick "I accept the Terms of Use" and tap "Agree and continue" on the consent screen.

Your consent to internet sharing and the related use and disclosure of your IP address and IP-based location is separate from accepting these Terms. You give it through the separate sharing-consent checkbox shown on the same screen.

Our Privacy Policy (rewio.io/privacy) explains how we handle your data. It is a separate document.

If you don't accept these Terms, don't use Rewio. You can tap "Not now" on the consent screen. Nothing is shared in that case.

We keep a record of when you accepted these Terms and gave consent, which version of each text you saw, and on which device.

3. Who can use Rewio

To use Rewio, you must:

• be 18 or older;
• have the right to allow use of the internet connection on your phone. This means you own or pay for the connection, or the owner or account holder has allowed you to share it;
• be allowed to use Rewio under the laws of the country where you live. Rewio is available only in countries where it is offered on Google Play.

Don't use Rewio on a network that is not yours unless the owner allows it. This includes networks at work, school or university, and Wi-Fi in hotels, cafés, airports and other public places.

Some internet providers and mobile operators don't allow customers to share their connection with others. Check the terms of your provider before you turn on internet sharing. If they don't allow it, don't use Rewio on that connection. Following your provider's terms is your responsibility.

You can't use Rewio if you are subject to sanctions or live in a country under [SANCTIONS LIST]. [SANCTIONS WORDING]

4. What Rewio does

Rewio lets you share your internet connection with business clients ("internet sharing", or "sharing" in these Terms). In return, you get rewards in the games you link.

While sharing is on:

• Business clients send web requests through your internet connection.
• The websites they open see your IP address. Your IP address can show your country and city.
• Sharing uses your internet traffic. It works over Wi-Fi or mobile data, whichever connection your phone is using.
• Sharing runs in the background, even when you are not using Rewio. While it runs, Rewio shows a notification. It keeps running after today's reward is ready, until you stop it.
• These requests may cause extra checks, such as CAPTCHAs, or access restrictions.
• Clients don't send requests all the time. When Rewio shows "Waiting for requests", nothing passes through your connection.

Clients must follow our rules on acceptable use. We can't see or approve every single request in real time.

Rewio does not access your messages, files, photos, contacts, browsing history, passwords or what is on your screen. What Rewio collects and why is described on the consent screen and in our Privacy Policy.

Rewio is not a VPN. It does not hide your IP address or protect your privacy online, and it does not make your internet faster.

Rewio does not pay you money. Using Rewio does not make you our employee, contractor or agent.

5. Your consent and how to stop sharing

Sharing starts only after you agree on the consent screen and then tap "Turn on internet sharing".

You can stop sharing at any time with the button on the main screen or with Stop in the notification. Sharing stops right away.

You can withdraw consent at any time in Settings → Withdraw consent. Sharing stops right away and won't start again until you agree again on the consent screen.

Stopping sharing or withdrawing consent does not cancel rewards you have already earned. Corrections for established fraud are covered by section 7.6.

If you delete Rewio from your phone, sharing stops too. To ask us to delete your data, see the Privacy Policy.

In Settings you can see when you agreed and which version of the consent text you agreed to.

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before it was withdrawn. It does not prevent you from exercising your other data protection rights.

6. Linking a game

To get rewards, you link a partner game that takes part in the Rewio program (a "linked game"). You link a game with a code.

The game shows you a code. You copy it and paste it in Rewio.

The code is personal. Don't share or sell your code, and don't use a code that belongs to someone else.

Linking connects Rewio on this device to your account in that game. You can link one game at a time. To switch games, unlink the current game in Settings and link another one. Progress for that day may be lost when you unlink.

We give the linked game only what it needs to give you rewards: a link ID, the link status and how much of your sharing time counted. We don't give the game your IP address.

You can keep sharing on without a linked game. You get no rewards until you link one.

7. Rewards

7.1 How rewards work

Rewards come only in the games you link. Each game sets its own reward, for example in-game currency, chests or items, and its own rules for it.

Your daily target is 1 hour of sharing time in a day. The time doesn't need to be in one go. The day runs from 00:00 to 24:00 UTC.

Time counts only while sharing is on, your phone is online, Rewio is connected to our network and client requests pass through your connection. Time may not count when there is no internet, during breaks in the connection, when Rewio shows "Waiting for requests", or when Android stops Rewio. Rewio shows your progress. We calculate counted time from our records. You can ask us at team@rewio.io to review and correct an error.

Progress resets at the end of each day and does not carry over to the next day. If sharing is stopped or Android stops Rewio, that time does not count.

After you reach today's target, sharing keeps running until you stop it. Extra time does not give you an extra reward, unless the linked game says otherwise.

The linked game delivers the reward to your account in that game. You may need to open the game to collect it.

7.2 What rewards are not

Rewio never pays cash.

Rewards are in-game benefits. Rewio does not redeem them for money. You can't sell, transfer or trade them, except where the game's own rules allow it.

Rewards are virtual items in the game. The game's terms apply to them. The game may limit, change or remove virtual items under its own terms.

Rewards and their conditions are shown for each participating game. Future rewards may change as described in section 7.4. This does not remove your entitlement to a reward whose eligibility conditions you have already met.

7.3 Who is responsible for what

We are responsible for counting your eligible sharing time correctly and sending it to the linked game. When you meet the disclosed eligibility conditions, we will record your entitlement and arrange delivery with the game.

The linked game is responsible for delivering the reward and for what happens to it in the game.

If a reward did not arrive, contact us at team@rewio.io. We will check our records and work with the game to resolve the issue. This does not limit your rights under applicable consumer law.

7.4 Changes to rewards

We or the linked game may change the daily target, how time is counted, or the reward itself for legal, security or reasonable operational reasons. Changes apply to future participation. We will show the change and its reason in Rewio before it applies: at least 7 days before for changes we make, and as soon as reasonably possible for changes made by the linked game, unless an urgent legal or security requirement prevents this. Changes do not affect rewards whose eligibility conditions you have already met. You may stop participating if you do not accept a change, without losing rewards already earned.

7.5 If a game leaves the Rewio program

A game can stop taking part in the Rewio program. If that happens:

• the link to that game stops;
• rewards already delivered remain subject to the game's terms, and we will work with the game to arrange delivery of rewards whose eligibility conditions you met before its departure;
• incomplete progress may end only under the rules disclosed before you started that progress; rewards already earned are not cancelled merely because the game leaves;
• we will tell you in Rewio. Internet sharing keeps running until you stop it, and you can link another game.

7.6 Fraud and abuse

We may exclude sharing that does not meet the eligibility rules disclosed before participation. We may temporarily hold a disputed reward while we reasonably investigate suspected abuse. After a fair review, we may correct progress or rewards affected by established fraud or a material breach of those rules, including where:

• you use an emulator, a virtual device or a device farm;
• you use a modified version of Rewio or try to change how time is counted;
• a VPN or a similar service sits in front of Rewio, so requests don't go through your own internet connection;
• you run Rewio on many devices to collect rewards for one game account, or link one device to accounts that are not yours, beyond what the game allows;
• you use bots, scripts or other automation to fake sharing time;
• you buy, sell or share link codes;
• you share a connection you don't have the right to share.

We may tell the linked game the information reasonably necessary to investigate suspected abuse or address an established violation, distinguishing suspicions from findings, as described in our Privacy Policy. We will explain the reason for any correction and how you can challenge it, unless disclosure is prohibited by law. Use of a VPN does not by itself establish fraud, although sharing may be ineligible under the disclosed rules. Stopping sharing or withdrawing consent is not a ground for cancelling an earned reward.

If you think we made a mistake, contact us at team@rewio.io. We will review it and reply within 30 days.

8. Internet traffic and costs

We don't charge you for Rewio.

Sharing uses internet traffic. You are responsible for the ordinary costs of your internet and mobile plan, including applicable data-limit charges, extra charges and roaming, as disclosed before you turn on sharing. This does not exclude our responsibility for costs caused by our breach of these Terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. Sharing works over Wi-Fi or mobile data, whichever connection your phone is using.

The "Internet used" screen shows how much traffic went through your connection. It is an estimate and may differ from what your provider counts.

Sharing may make your connection slower at times.

9. Your device

Rewio runs in the background. It uses battery, memory and processing power. While sharing is on, Android shows a notification.

Android and some phone makers may stop Rewio to save battery. Rewio asks for settings like "Run in background" and "Autostart" to keep sharing on. You can change these settings at any time.

Rewio works on Android 7.0 and later. We don't promise that it works on every device.

10. Rules of use

You must not:

• use Rewio on a connection you don't have the right to share;
• intercept or tamper with client requests, or attempt to obtain confidential client information; this does not restrict your right to stop sharing, withdraw consent, manage your own network security or exercise rights that cannot lawfully be restricted;
• use Rewio or our network to send your own traffic;
• copy, change, decompile or reverse engineer Rewio, except where the law allows it;
• break into or overload our systems, or get around our security, limits or fraud checks;
• create fake installs or use bots;
• rent, resell or offer Rewio as a service to others;
• use Rewio against the law or against sanctions;
• use the Rewio name or logo without our permission.

11. If someone asks about activity from your IP address

Websites see your IP address while sharing is on. If your internet provider, a website or an authority contacts you about activity from your IP address during that time, contact us at team@rewio.io. We will review the records available to us and provide reasonable assistance to understand whether the activity passed through Rewio, subject to the law and the rights of others. We cannot guarantee that every request can be identified or that a provider, website or authority will reach a particular conclusion.

If you are worried, you can stop sharing at any time.

12. Your data

Our Privacy Policy (rewio.io/privacy) explains what data we collect, why, who gets it, how long we keep it, and your rights.

In short, we collect your IP address and what it shows (country, region, city and internet provider), Rewio's device IDs, Android version and device model, network type (Wi-Fi or mobile), how much internet traffic goes through your connection and when internet sharing is on, the games you link and your player ID in them. We use this to run internet sharing, count your rewards and prevent fraud.

13. Other services

Rewio comes from Google Play. Google Play's terms also apply to your download and to updates.

Linked games are run by other companies. Their terms and privacy policies apply to the game, your game account and your rewards. We don't control the games. If a game suspends or closes your account, you may lose rewards in it.

Rewio includes open-source software. Its licences are listed in Settings → About.

14. Our app and your licence

We or our licensors own Rewio, its name, logo and design.

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Rewio on an Android device you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, under these Terms. We can end this licence as described in section 16. We don't give you any other rights.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we can use them without paying you.

We may release updates. Some updates may be required to keep using Rewio.

15. Changes to Rewio

We may reasonably change, add or remove features, limit Rewio in some countries, or stop Rewio for legal, security or operational reasons. If we stop Rewio, we will tell you in the app at least 30 days before, unless we have to stop sooner for legal or security reasons. We will respect mandatory consumer rights and arrange delivery of rewards whose eligibility conditions you met before closure. Incomplete progress may end only under the rules disclosed before you started that progress.

Rewio may be unavailable at times.

16. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Rewio at any time. Stop sharing, withdraw consent or delete the app.

We may suspend or stop your use of Rewio on a device where reasonably necessary for any of the reasons below. Any correction or cancellation of progress or rewards is subject to the safeguards in section 7.6 and applicable law:

• you break these Terms;
• we reasonably suspect fraud or abuse;
• we learn that you are under 18;
• the law or an authority requires it;
• your use puts our network, our clients or other users at risk.

When we can, we will tell you why in the app. If you think we made a mistake, contact us at team@rewio.io.

If we establish that you are under 18, your participation ends and we handle your data under our Privacy Policy. Age alone does not establish fraud or automatically cancel rewards already earned.

Sections 7.2, 7.6, 10, 14 and 17 to 22 stay in force after these Terms end.

17. No guarantees

We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability or that every game will offer rewards every day. This does not remove our obligation to use reasonable care and skill, honour rewards already earned or comply with mandatory consumer law.

This does not affect your rights as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.

18. Our liability

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

If you live in the EU or the UK, we are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these Terms or not using reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable.

Subject to your mandatory consumer rights, and except where loss is a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill, we are not responsible for:

• loss that was not reasonably foreseeable;
• independent decisions a linked game makes about game accounts, without affecting our obligations for rewards already earned under section 7;
• changes to virtual items made by a linked game under its own rules, subject to your mandatory consumer rights;
• ordinary disclosed internet or mobile-plan costs, except costs caused by our breach of these Terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill;
• acts of clients or other third parties that we could not reasonably prevent;
• Android or your phone maker stopping Rewio.

19. Your responsibility to us

You are responsible for your own breach of these Terms only to the extent provided by applicable law. You are not responsible merely because client requests pass through your connection. Nothing in this section makes you compensate us for our own breach or negligence, or requires you to give up any mandatory consumer protection.

20. Changes to these Terms

If we change these Terms in a way that affects your rights, sharing or rewards, we will show you the new Terms in Rewio and ask you to agree again before sharing continues. Until you agree, sharing stays off. If you don't agree, you can stop using Rewio.

Acceptance of updated Terms does not replace any separate consent required for new purposes or materially changed personal-data processing. Changes do not remove rights or rewards already earned under the previous Terms.

We may make small changes that don't reduce your rights without asking you again, for example fixing typos, updating contact details or making the text clearer. We will update the date at the top.

The version and date are shown at the top of these Terms. Settings shows the version you agreed to.

21. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales can hear disputes about them.

If you are a consumer and live in the EU, the UK or another country with mandatory consumer law, you keep the protection of that law. You can also bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live.

You may contact us at team@rewio.io to try to resolve a dispute. We will try to solve the issue within 30 days. This is not a condition of bringing a claim and does not limit any applicable deadline or your right to seek urgent relief.

22. General

These Terms govern your participation in Rewio together with the reward conditions disclosed for your linked game. The Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data. Your separate consent controls internet sharing and the processing for which we rely on that consent. Nothing in these Terms limits your data protection rights or the effect of withdrawing consent.

If a court finds part of these Terms invalid, the rest stays in force.

If we don't enforce a right at once, we can still enforce it later.

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as network outages, natural disasters or actions of authorities, where we have used reasonable care to prevent or reduce their effects. This does not remove rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Only you and we have rights under these Terms. Linked games and clients can't enforce them.

We may transfer this agreement to another company, for example if Rewio is sold or moved within our group. Your rights under these Terms will not be reduced. You can't transfer this agreement to anyone else.

We send notices to you in Rewio, because Rewio has no user account or email.
